Had enough of near-stock Camaros that feature stock motors and ancient suspension designs? Then take another look at this snarling, barking, brutally fast pro-street Camaro. If too much is just enough, and over-the-top is the way you want to travel, then we have your car. Posers need not apply for this one, because it will most definitely hurt you if you’re not man enough to handle it. With a built 383 stroker engine, Coan transmission and a DANA 60 rear axle, this is a show-stopping car that is every bit as potent as it looks in photos. Don’t say you haven’t been warned.
The 1969 Camaro offered here is the result of a professional build and is ready to light the strip on fire. Modifications began with a DANA 60 rear end to accommodate the Cragar S/S wheels with Mickey Thompson tires, along with a Strange engineering coil over suspension. As part of the build process, a roll cage was welded in, and a Harwood fiberglass hood was added. The Camaro was then sent to the paint booth, where it was covered in Burnt Orange and Black custom paint. Balancing the car, an Optima battery was relocated to the trunk. Attention was then placed upon the heart of the build—a stroked 383 CI monster gobbling up air through 2 Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetors, lit with an MSD ignition and exhaling through a set of Hooker headers. Transmitting the rotational torque to the Mickey Thompsons is a modified Coan 350 transmission with a 4,200 stall converter and trans-brake, and shifted via a Cheetah SCS unit. Wilwood 4 – wheel disc brakes (with a front line lock) round out the package.
